Wiltshire Council

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Temporary Closure of: Various Roads, Melksham, Melksham Without and Lacock (Ref: TTRO 6421)

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:

a) Woodrow Road, Melksham and Melksham Without; from is junction with Forest Road to its junction with Lower Woodrow;

b) Lower Woodrow, Melksham Without; from its junction with Woodrow Road to its junction with Forest Lane;

c) Forest Lane, Melksham Without and Lacock; from its junction with Lower Woodrow to its junction with Bowden Hill.

To enable: Ringway to carry out repairs to the culvert under the carriageway.

Alternative route: via C155 – A342 – A3102 – Church Lane and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

This Order which previously came into operation on 14 October 2019 will now recommence on 17 February 2020 and the closure will be required daily until 25 February 2020. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months.
