This heartwarming letter was received from the Maire of Avon in response to a letter of sympathy and support sent by the Town Council following the terrorist bombings in Paris in January.

Do you need a space for your community group to meet? The Cricket Pavilion in King George V Park is available for hire during day time hours from Monday to Friday.
Situated in an enviable location in the park, the Pavilion has free parking, kitchen and disabled access.
Following many years of success, the Melksham Food and Drink Festival has merged with the Melksham River Festival for the Melksham Food and River Festival.
This will take place on Sunday 4 September 2016.
The Melksham Best Looking Business for Spring 2015 has been awarded to Casa Restaurant on Bath Road.
The award was created by Melksham Town Team to recognise businesses that make a special effort in their displays and general appearance which contribute to making Melksham a lovely town to visit.
Melksham is now participating in the national Time Credit scheme.
When volunteers give one hour of time to particular projects they are rewarded with one Time Credit which can be spent at participating establishments for an hour of activity.
Melksham Town Council are pleased to be taking over the King George V Playing Fields and are proposing a programme of investment that will see the park rejuevenated for all generations to enjoy. The Council have completed extensive consultations throguhout 2018 and are looking forward to brining the new plans to life, starting in Spring 2019.
