The Town Hall is currently closed to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that as of midnight on Monday, 4 January, the UK has reverted to a national lockdown.
He went on to suggest that we will likely remain in one until mid-February in order to slow the spread of the virus and protect the NHS from becoming overwhelmed during the coldest winter months.
The census is coming.

We are creating a 'Window of Thanks' to collect everyone's gratitude into one big piece of artwork in Melksham.
The final art work will be a display of hundreds of little thank you notes or expressions of gratitude from people all around Melksham.
The Government is preparing for the Census in 2021.
This is a a natonal survey that happens every ten years to give the government a picture of the poulation so that services like healthcare, transport and education can be planned effectively.
The amazing small businesses of Melksham have stepped up and supported the people of this town and the surrounding area incredibly well this year, quickly developing and delivering new services to meet rapidly changing customer needs.
This has embraced, for example, take-away meals, click and collect services, home deliveries, online sales, as well as providing safe, welcoming environments for customers.
CHRISTMAS BOXES – SECOND DROP-OFF! Melksham Town Council has opted to serve as a drop-off point for Operation Christmas Child for a second period, now we are out of lockdown.
We will be available for drop offs next week from Monday, 7 Dec to Thursday, 10 Dec from 9 AM to 12 PM.
While many of the usual events are not taking place this year, the following community activities are happening around Melksham.

Meeting to Discuss the Emerging A350 Melksham By-pass Scheme You are cordially invited to attend a meeting organised by Melksham Town Council to discuss the emerging A350 Melksham By-pass scheme - currently undergoing consultation: The meeting is to be held on Monday 23 November 2020, at 6pm via Zoom.
Steve Wilson, from Wiltshire Council, the Major Highways Project Engineer for the scheme, will address the meeting, make a short presentation and take questions.
The Bloom in Melksham calendars and Christmas cards are being sold on eBay this year.
This will enable people to still buy them from the comfort of their own home.
Melksham Town Council are pleased to be taking over the King George V Playing Fields and are proposing a programme of investment that will see the park rejuevenated for all generations to enjoy. The Council have completed extensive consultations throguhout 2018 and are looking forward to brining the new plans to life, starting in Spring 2019.
